Art of sitting idle

Wednesday 24 June 2009 @ 1:50 pm

I just gave the heading of this article as “Art of sitting idle” just to dramatize and attract you to the article, but I am sure you will enjoy this as other blog posts.

Actually, I am going to discuss about “Art of sitting idle and relax”.

As we all might realize that the world around us is moving at very high speed. Late hours at work have become routine and we don’t feel guilt about it. There are numerous tasks ahead of us and we are running hard to catch up. Mobile phones and Blackberry have become more common and we are expected to be connected to the network 24 x 7 x 365.

In that process, we are missing a lot in our very short life. We are paying very high price. We are ignoring our body, mind and soul. I would say that many of us are atleast aware of taking care of body (by doing regular or at least irregular exercises, at least one time healthy food). But we are absolutely ignoring very important factor i.e., mind.

We don’t care/aware about the existence of mind and our need to take care of that. Since we are not doing, all sorts of unhealthy thinking getting into your sub-conscious mind and in turn it makes our life sick.

One of the medical journal estimates that every 2 out of 5 American requires a sleeping pill to sleep. Isn’t sleep should be natural? Because of our ignorance of mind, all these problems exist.

I am going to recommend to you “Art of sitting idle” to you.

Every day consciously spend time with Nature. At least 5 or 10 minutes to start with. It could be sitting in morning sun. It could be watching a bird. It could be watching a child sleep. It could be morning mist. It could be watching plants/flowers. It could be watching a sea/rain/river. It could be a bird’s feather flying in wind. Anything associated with nature.

I am not talking about morning activity like gardening, jogging, brisk walking – all that is really appreciated and it is focused to body. But all I am concerned about is our minds.

During this time with Nature, let sit and notice the beauty of this world. Embrace it in your mind. Talk to it. Appreciate it – All slowly and steadily.

The outcome would be multi fold. Over the time you would appreciate the fact that how much beautiful the nature is. It would relax your nerves and calms you down. It paints a nice picture in your mind and it is ready for that day’s work load. And when you are tense, your subconscious mind automatically brings in that picture in front of you resulting in calm mind, and it means greater power. Because Calmer mind brings in greater power.

Gratitude and your brain

Sunday 21 June 2009 @ 10:07 pm

I heard from Amma Bhagavan (www.onenessuniversity.org) that brain as a organism work better when you feel gratitude.

I thought of putting that in practice. Everyday I wake up or pray to the god, I feel grateful to god for all the things happened in my life. I make sure that I dont fume in my prayers nor when I talk with people. I as a person have become much more happy, clearer in vision and leading a healthy life.

In addition to this there are many other things which I have put together and sharing with people in my website www.vedicsecret.com

I wish that people learn those and be happy.

2020 – Major disease breakout

Tuesday 12 May 2009 @ 8:42 pm

In UK, one study revealed that one disease is going to be in No.1 spot and it would affects every 2 in 3 person in the world by one way or other.

Any guess on what it would be?

If you have guessed some Virus or HIV or cancer or something of that sort, then I am sorry you are not correct.

The correct answer is DEPRESSION

Google defines depression as “a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity “

And if you are identified as affected by depression, don’t panic or don’t feel bad. It is very common. Each one of us are affected by some depression. If you get consulted with Physicrot then don’t feel bad, don’t feel end of world, don’t feel hurted but feel happy that you have got someone who listen to your inner feelings and make you in correct path.

Many people are not opening up thinking that the people around them would make fun of that or it would make them separated.

Depressions can happen even for very trivial things, people get depressed due to heavy work load, people get depressed if don’t find dresses of their size, people get depressed if they are fat. People get depressed if no one appreciate them

My new age thought is
Be cheerful and it would spread to your environment, and in turn make you cheerful. Basically, what you give is what you get. This cheerfulness would help you away from the depression of any sort, and facilitate you to lead a joyful life.

You can be cheerful by
(a) Doing what you love most – listening music, playing with kids, cracking jokes, talking with your loved ones, anything which distress you.

Be cheerful and live happy.

As usual your comments are welcome

Why do we catch cold?

Saturday 2 May 2009 @ 2:01 pm

I am not going to discuss about any cold/flu virus thru we catch cold or fever or any other diseases.

I am going to discuss the role your mind plays in becoming you sick.

Whatever it is, we decide upfront on our mind, i.e., we catch cold in our mind then we catch cold in our body.

People who are not in high spirits feel sick very often.

They catch cold, fever, body pain, tooth ache, get hurt, etc., very often.

Because of their not so good feelings.

It is very important for us to feel positive, feel good. Be it family, job – so that our mind and body would be healthy.

But the fact is our mind is more towards negativity, that’s how we have brought up. We always think what if we fail? And start planning for that. And we justify it by stating that we need to be prepared.

I agree to that, but why we need to start our whole thinking by a negative scenario.

Have highest opinion about you, think you are a winner, think you are blessed, then you would definitely improve our health.
