Be Self Centred

Tuesday 31 March 2009 @ 9:38 pm

We usually get into relationships because we need someone to give us company, we need someone to give us love we need, we need someone to gift us, we need someone who should listen to us, we need someone who should take care of us till we die.

Larger portion of the people don’t enjoy their relationship but stick to them due to other reasons like children, society. A study shows main reason for relationship failure as follows.
a) The partner do not listen to them
b) The partner do not do what they say
c) The partner do not talk what they want to listen
d) The partner do not change as they want.
e) The partner have conflicting interest than them

How many of you have visited your friends regularly as you were doing before marriage?
How many of you have continued your hobby after your marriage?
How many of you have done something you as an individual enjoyed doing it?
As an individual, they don’t find time for themselves to focus on their development.

My new age thought is to be very successful in relationships (be it with spouse / parents / in-laws / children) – you need to be self-centred.
If you start concentrating on your life, your actions, your words, your desire then you would not have any issues with Relationships.

Don’t focus on what your partner doing, going, talking – but focus on your actions, your improvement.
If you see very successful and happier couple, they have they own space. They do not try to change their partner. They do not try to control the other person.

Think about it, and talk to your spouse / parents / children (or whomever you see problems with relationships) and create your own space and be self-centred.

And to be much more successful in relationship, you support your partner to achieve in their life, help them setting goals in their life, help them to find new hobbies, help them to set new visions. Support them and not Control them.

Involvement brings Importance

Sunday 29 March 2009 @ 7:27 pm

Many of us usually tell that we don’t get growth or importance in our company. Many of us feel that those who do buttering their managers would get promotions, good salary hike, etc.,.
Many of us feel why only certain people are very close to Managers and why we are not included in some of the decision making process in the official activities.

Many of us also feels that our managers are biased based on factors like caste / religions / gender based and they only get all the credits / promotions / hike / etc.,

Though sometimes it is true, but most of the times we fail to see the success/talent of those people who shares a good official relationship with your managers.

I would like to share my new age thought on this subject.

One point everyone should remember that Company pay salary for those who do their work, and those who go extra mile gains importance.

In order words, Involvement brings Importance.

If you do what you are asked to do, then you are one of the team member. If you do what others haven’t thought about, then you stand out of the crowd and become visible to your manager.

I always correlate peoples as websites, and google search engine as managers. If google searches a particular term, then the most famous website shows up first for those terms searched. How Google arrives it? One of the main logic is page rank and number of other websites linking the main website.
As many website refers the main website for the content, then the main website comes a rank 1 and shows up first in the google search.

Similarly if you are strong enough in particular area and if everyone refers you in that particular area, then you are making yourself visible to your manager.

Also if you have any other special details up to date, then your manager would refer you for that information. For e.g., If you know, all the hotels who offer discount lunch – then your manager would reach out to you to organize a business lunch. If you know, all the international air timings from your area airport, then your manager would reach out to you to organize clients travel plans.

If you involve in your other teams activities, give consultation, help them to achieve their goals, automatically the news would reach your manager and you get noticed for your involvement.
I would suggest, let us stop complaining or feeling jealous about people who are currently critical in your company, and you study that person’s success and try to get inspiration from him.

Beat The Recession

Saturday 21 March 2009 @ 12:25 am

Hi Again,

I thought that I should write this amidst the tough economic conditions.

The world is undergoing the Great Recession and many across countries lose their jobs, lose their money, lose their happiness, families, some even lives.

As many media reports have been published about this great recession, the source of the recession, the impact it made across globe, I don’t want to discuss the whole story again in detail. But in short it flowed as follows

US Real Estate Market Crash -> Subprime Loan Crisis -> Banks/Financial institutions bankrupt -> No cash liquidity -> Companies didn’t get money from bank to run business -> People lose jobs -> People restrict spending -> Causes low demand -> No jobs for factory -> People lose jobs -> People dont pay loans -> Home repossessions -> people suffer

etc., etc.,

One thing the media and the governments are doing is, it spreads fear among the people. Because of reading daily news reports about recession, fear of losing job / fear of salary cuts / fear of visa problems gets into our mind, and it in turn makes us feel sick / restricted.

What we persists it would resists.

Hence, my new age thought is live life as usual, if I ask you that only when the governments/media are claiming that there is recession, we acknowledge that. If there were no announcements of recessions, then wouldn’t we have lead a normal life?

Make spending as usual - I am not suggesting you spend recklessly.

All I can tell you - dont let fear enter your mind, think positive and live as if there is nothing called recession.

Please spread this message so that we can come out of this gloom. We can help ourself.

As usual, your valuable comments are welcome.

Vision in life

Saturday 14 March 2009 @ 10:49 pm

Friends,

I would like to share with you how important is vision in one’s life. Whenever I meet someone new, I shall make to the point that I ask them their vision in life. For most of them, they dont expect such question and they are not prepared for the answer. It shows that they themselves have not thought about their vision in life. Few of them, answer that, they don’t plan anything in their life, instead they take things as they come on their way. I feel that they take pride in telling such answers. Nothing wrong with their views, but I differ in their opinion.

Take an instance that you are going for a journey, how well you plan? don’t you book your tickets, don’t you book your hotels, don’t you know what is your destination?. But for a longer journey i.e., life -  most of us are not prepared. No vision to achieve something in life.

One day US President JK Kennedy during his morning walk in white house met few young kids from a local school, when he said a boy - what you would want to become in life (i.e., vision in life), without hesitation, that boy said that “I want to be what you are currently”, and that boy is ex-US president Bill Clinton. That is the secret of the vision, it would take you to where you want, if you really want to.

Having said that I would like to share my vision too.

a) would like to be a world known motivational trainer and make a difference to millions of people in the world

b) would like to be a WEB entrepreneur - and have multiple streams of business / income and create lot of job opportunity

c) would like to create educational trust in my father’s name and help poor students in education.

Having said mine, would like to hear from you what is your vision in life?

If you need any assistance/mentoring in identifying your vision of your life, please let me know.
